EXP Gain from gym idea It has recently come to my attention that the only reason of fighting gyms is to get your daily /claim, which in my opinion is not really fun. So my idea is: How about the devs make it so that when you defeat a gym (when it becomes white) you get 1000 EXP, meaning you won't be able to farm them, but just that little bit of motivation to take down a gym. The only problem with is power leveling. If you go to an emptyish server to an obscure town. Get you and someone from another team. Keep stealing from each other. Quick level 30 But it does need tweaking in some way
@Genaga I think that one of the devs is deffinantly able to make that not possible, thanks for the response!
What would be the point of claiming gyms for a trainer level 30 then? I feel like that the /claim command is the right way to do it, the only thing that needs tweaking is the price, cause right now there is almost no point in fighting for gyms. Maybe more coins (like +1k for each Pokémon that's in a gym, with a maximum of 15k) or even a new currency that could be spent on particulars items (like TMs in the future?).
We are aware the claim rewards are - well not the best. Its something we are currently working on improving. In Pokémon GO you gain a currency that can only be updated through gym claims (or buying with real money) so this is a route we might go down.
I wish the claim was higher. Or we are able to claim more at a time, like every hour 1 pokemon gives 100x, so 1 pokemon in a gym for 24 hours gives 2,400. Having 5 would be 12,000. Okay maybe no... That's a bit much...
I don't think many people bother to take gyms because there isn't much of a reward. If reward/exp was increased it may change that.
