IGN: TheUNICORNTrap I have an issue- So I just received a gen 2 pokemon on the gen 1 server (Flaffy) in a trade and I cannot train it at all, it gains no exp. On the other hand I have a pupitar (another gen 2) which I have no problem training at all. So what is the issue here?
Hey TheUNICORNTrap2, the reason why the Flaaffy won't gain experience is because it's on the generation one server, and unless a generation two Pokémon was received from an egg it will not gain any experience on the generation one server. So most likely the Pupitar was earned out of an egg enabling it to gain experience on the first region, so just level up your Flaaffy on the second region and it should gain experience just fine!
