For some reason, it says I need to have an island level of 1001 to place a level one Geodude. I've reset my island and tried it with several pokemon. (Sorry if this is bad English is not my first language)
Yeah, this game changed since the last time you played. They made it that way for all pokémon because they are very OP and were abused a ton before. It has been that way for a few months.
