Skyblock Stone Generators

In Minecraft, stone is mined faster than cobblestone. However, Skyblock players often overlook that fact and make cobblestone generators. I recently made a stone generator on Pokéfind's Skyblock so I could get ores and cobble faster! Unfortunately, as I somewhat expected, the only block that gets generated is stone. Unlike a cobblestone generator, ores aren't generated. I ran through an entire iron pickaxe and got no ores.

My suggestion is that stone generators also generate ores.

To further explain what I mean by a "stone generator", I should have photos attached. Effectively, lava flows down onto the middle portion of an infinite water source, causing stone to be created as opposed to the slower mined cobblestone.
